Who we are
Prior Signal is a privately held strategic operations firm based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.priorsignal.com, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
We only collect personal information you provide directly through the contact form on /contact and the newsletter signup. This typically includes your name, email address, organization, and the content of the message you send us.
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, fingerprinting, session replay, or behavioural tracking. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, cookieless visit measurement (page views, referrers, country-level geography). No personally identifiable information is collected or stored, and no tracking cookies are set. See Vercel’s privacy policy for details.
Processors
Contact form and newsletter submissions are processed by:
- Supabase — stores form submissions in a Postgres database hosted in Canada or the United States. See Supabase privacy.
- Resend — delivers email notifications of new submissions to Prior Signal staff. See Resend privacy.
- Vercel — hosts the website and runs serverless functions. See Vercel privacy.
How we use information
- To respond to inquiries you initiate.
- To deliver newsletter content you have explicitly subscribed to.
- To maintain operational records of client and prospect communication.
- To improve the website (aggregate, cookieless analytics only).
We do not use your information to train AI models. We do not repurpose contact submissions for marketing campaigns you did not opt into.
Retention
Contact submissions are retained for as long as the business relationship requires, or until you request deletion. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA (Canada), Quebec Law 25, and GDPR (EU/UK visitors), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information (subject to legal and operational record-keeping requirements).
- Withdraw consent for any future processing.
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your local data protection authority.
